Chapter Two

He looked through the gates, behind it was a mess, spiderwebs everywhere, broken buildings, boarded up windows & doors, rotten wood, smashed windows, holes in roofs, wild animals, park equipment missing and broken, wild-flowers overgrown all over the place. Nicholai wondered if there was anyone here.

He wandered through the gates. They were big iron gates, they were glowing orange with rust. They must be very old. They creaked as they opened, the one on the left seemed like it was going to fall any day now. He looked at the one on the right that looked more sturdy so he pushed that one. Nicholai was looking all around as he strolled through the gates taking in his surroundings, as he looked around there was nobody to be seen, it was only lunchtime he thought somebody would be around. But not a soul to be seen anywhere. Apart from the animals.

He heard a noise in the bushes of one of the gardens. Out jumped a baby fox, screeching, looking for its parent. Another fox came running up to the baby, they curled around each other and ran off. Nicholai watched as they ran off seeing where they went. As he turned a corner Nicholai noticed a payphone, he ran to it as fast as he could. Hoping it was working. He picked up the receiver and there was no sound on the other end. He hung it back up and walked away.

He wandered around looking in every shop and café, they were all deserted. The doors broken, windows broken but boarded up. There were holes in the boards that allowed Nicholai to peek through. He was confused, how was this town still here when it is this dialect and broken? He wandered round the town a bit more and he noticed that the houses were further back behind all the shops. Such a weird layout. He noticed a lot of the houses were broken, some barely even standing. Bricks missing, windows broken, some even had the doors open but hanging on by one hinge, like they would fall off any day now.

Then through the thick fog that filled this town stood an old town house, it was in perfect condition which is why it stood out so much. It stood in the middle of all the other buildings, like everything else was built around it. This one was well looked after, ‘This is weird, why is this one better than the rest?’ thought Nicholai. The outside walls painted cream with red drips as though it was painted for Halloween. The door black as coal stood in the middle of the building, a window either side, the windows were open, Nicholai ran up to it and knocked on the door. It was an old rustic one, it hurt to knock on even with the lightest of taps.

A woman opened the door cautiously. She looked through the gap which was held by a chain. Nicholai said “Sorry to intrude, my name is Nicholai, I'm wondering if there is a mechanic here, my car will not start.” A male voice came from inside the house shouting, but Nicholai didn’t quite hear what was said, the woman slammed the door shut.

Nicholai stood still frozen in front of the house confused and wondering what was going on in this town, most of the houses locked up with curtains closed, some with doors boarded up with broken windows not yet covered, the only house that looked lived in was the one that he had just knocked on. It was seriously weird how all but this one house looked deserted. Could there be a reason? Did others leave without reason? What is wrong with this town?

This town was so weird, loads of houses, at least thirty five of them were broken to the point of disrepair, he wondered how the town could be in such a state. He wandered around a bit more and found some more houses but no people apart from that man and woman in the house he knocked on, or so he thought. Nicholai heard a faint noise in the distance coming from a group of trees. As he walked through the trees, he noticed four houses. They were enclosed by the trees. He followed the voice, it sounded like a little child playing happily, he came up to a house. It was freshly painted blue, the door was another old rustic one but this time it had a knocker in the middle. It was a cast iron one, the top bit was a lion’s head holding it onto the door, the bottom held in the lion’s mouth circle with a smaller lion’s head at the bottom. Nicholai lifted it and let go there was a mighty thud from the connection.

The door opened as wide as a chain would allow it to, Nicholai looked down he seen a small child with bright blue eyes peering through the gap, Nicholai “Hello, my name is” by time he got the is the child had shut the door and ran off. As he turned to walk away the door opened once again this time it was a teenage girl. She said “I am really sorry our parents are not in, we have to go” with that she closed the door. What a weird thing to happen, just children in a house, both answer the door but don’t actually find anything out. Where are their parents? How long had they been gone? When will they be back? So many questions from such a short encounter, the poor children were they safe alone? Had they been fed? The longer he thought about it the more questions he had. All questions no answers, this whole town is confusing, barely any people, no sound, broken houses, kids home alone. What is going on here?

They should not be alone there. He turned around to go back to try to talk to them to find out some answers. As he was about to knock on the door, he heard a deep voice behind him. “Who are you? Why are you at my house?” Nicholai turned around and behind him stood a big built, tall man. He looked angry as he stared at Nicholai, straight into his eyes. “I was just coming to make sure the children were okay, they were on their own when they aren’t old enough, the girl is too young to be left with the little boy.” “Who do you think you are accusing us of this, there is someone in there with them!” shouted the man. “Well, I apologise” said Nicholai “Just that when I knocked, they said their parents were not there and they could not have the door open, so it sounded like they were alone.” “WELL, THEY ARE NOT!” Shouted the man and he stormed off into the house.

The woman slowly walked towards the house, she looked scared as if the man was going to do something once the door is closed, “Ma’am are you okay?” asked Nicholai, he tapped her shoulder as he asked. The woman jumped, turned her head slightly towards him but looked the rest of the way using peripheral vision so it would be less obvious. She whispered, “My husband is very strict, he would never leave the children unattended and allow them to break his rules, their grandma was in the house with them.” After this she ran off into the house, closing and locking the door.

Every house has a garden that surrounded it, they all looked different and were all encased by a fence. This one only had the path uncovered by snow, the rest was buried by a very deep snow. Nicholai walked back down the path and out of the gate. The next house in this little group was green. The door sky blue with the little knocker, Nicholai knocked and it made the quietest noise he had ever heard. He was shocked that a lady had heard it and answered. “Hello, can I help you sir?” “I am looking for somewhere to stay when the night comes.” I’m sorry there are no places to stay in this town. You will have to come back where you came from.” “I am travelling for work. I have been sent to appraise the castle in the middle of the towns for resale or demolition.” “Oh, you cannot go there, it is very dangerous. Nobody even dares go near it as issues always start at the bridge next to it.”

The lady shook her head. “No, do not go there! It is not safe at all. The building is falling apart and all the rumours about it are true, some people have gone in and never returned to us.” “I am sorry, but I was told if I do not complete this assignment then I will lose the job and I’ve been working too hard for too long to lose it.” The lady shook her head and closed the door.

Just as Nicholai was about to walk away the door opened. “I’m sorry for my mother, she meant well with her warning, just she is never subtle and just goes all in.” “Oh’ honestly it is fine, she is not the first person to say something like that to me but I need to do this so I do not lose my job.” Nicholai looked at this person who looked very young. “Oh sorry, I am Annette.” “Well, Annette, I am Nicholai. Pleased to meet you.” “Well, I have to get back to my mother. Goodbye Nicholai, if you ever visit Old Lucia again you can knock on here and come in for a chat.” “Goodbye Annette.”

Anette closed the door and Nicholai walked away back down the path. He headed to the next house. The third house was brown with a black door. This one did not have a knocker but a piece of string that rang a bell. He looked at the garden and decided to skip this house, it was as badly shaped as all the ones he first came across before finding these houses.

Nicholai looked at the last house, the house was yellow. With a white door, the knocker, not as extravagant as the last house, just a standard circle held on by what looked like an iron rock. A woman answered the door. “Hello. Can I help you?” asked the woman. “Hi, yes I am Nicholai, I have just found this town, I have been exploring, I’m just wondering is there anywhere here that I could possibly purchase a drink?” questioned Nicholai. “I am Alex, I’m sorry, we do not have any open shops here, we have to go to neighbouring places to purchase anything. This town is not what it used to be.” Explained Alex.

“Oh, could I please just have a glass of water please? I will drink it outside.” Nicholai replied. “Yes, one moment please.” The door closed, Nicholai turned around to look at the garden surrounding the property. It was not as covered by snow as the last one due to a little seating area with a roof over it. At the ends of the seats there were flower pots with remains of flowers. Dried up twigs coming out of the soil. Winter is a harsh time for nature. The door opened. It was Alex, she handed Nicholai a glass of water. “Oh, thank-you very much for this water.” He said between gulps. “You’re welcome.” replied Alex.

After Nicholai gave her the glass back she went back inside and never came back out. Nicholai turned and went to walk away when the door opened again. This time there was a man standing in the doorway. “Young man, what was it you wanted?” The man asked. “I was just asking about shops for a drink as I have not seen anyone out in the streets and all buildings seem rundown and closed.” “They are all closed, it is rather annoying having to go to neighbouring towns just to get shopping.”

Nicholai looked at the man. “Excuse me, but you seem different to other places. I knocked on a few houses before yours and all but one of them was rude. The other one was two doors down but they just sent me on my way." "Ah, yes they are around here, we moved in a few years ago, we tried to talk to them but they were too rude. They made us so uncomfortable that we will be moving out as soon as we can.” The man explained.

He offered Nicholai to come inside, he went in thinking they were nice. As soon as he stepped inside the door was closed and bolted. Nicholai found this weird, when he tried to get back to the door the man stopped him and made him go forward into another room. It was the kitchen. “I’m sorry, I did not catch your name.” Nicholai said to the man. “I did not give it.” The man shouted. “Where is Alex? She seemed nice.” “Oh, Alex is nice but she is not here right now.” “I want to leave now.” Nicholai said, making a run for the door.

The man grabbed him by the hood of his coat. Pulling him back in he shouted “You will not get out of here anytime soon.” Nicholai was thrown onto a chair, arms came round him tying him to it. He turned his head as fast as he could. It was another man he had not seen yet. “Michael, is this tight enough?” Nicholai thought oh his name is Michael unless they are using fake names. “You idiot! I said not to use real names!” Shouted the man that invited him in. ‘So this is his real name’ Nicholai thought.

The other man ran off. “Well he will not be back. He's gone to hide after saying my name.” Said Michael. “Why can't I just go? I did nothing wrong.” “You knocked on my door.” Michael replied. “But that is not a good reason for this.” “Oh, I haven't even started anything yet!” Exclaimed Michael. “Oh and there's no police around here to do anything. So don't bother trying, if you get out.”

Nicholai looked around to see what was around him. He could see sharp knives and other items that could be used to torture someone. He pretended to faint hoping it would get him untied. It did not work. Michael just held his head up. Nicholai opened his eyes, it was black. There was cloth covering them. He felt a panic setting in, he started taking deep breaths, trying to stay calm. “Stop breathing like that, it ‘s annoying.” Someone yelled. It did not sound like Alex, Michael or the other man. “W, who’s there?” Asked Nicholai. “Your worst nightmare.” The voice replied.

Nicholai tried to shuffle the chair but it would not move. He tried to move his feet but they seemed to be tied to the chair. ‘Did I actually faint?’ Nicholai thought to himself. ‘I do not remember my feet being tied or this blind fold.’ his thoughts continued. “Nicholai, what is going on?” Asked a familiar voice. “Alex, is that you?” He asked shakily. “Yes, it is Alex. Who did this to you?” She asked. “It was Michael and two others. The third person said they are my worst nightmare.” He said quietly.

Alex started to untie him. “What do you think you are doing?” It was Michael he had come in and caught her untying Nicholai, “Put those restraints back on.” He shouted. “No!” shouted Alex. “You promised no more of this. Is this why you sent me over to Marokale making me go out the back door? To get rid of me to do this?” She questioned. “Yes.” Replied Michael.

Alex ignored him and carried on untying Nicholai, she didn't seem to care what Michael was saying, she just kept letting him go. One of the others got back and seen what was unfolding. He didn’t care, he just threw Alex at a wall and started tying Nicholai back up. She got up and ran at him but Michael grabbed her. “Let me go!” She shouted and she squirmed trying to get free. Jonathan just hurry up and finish tying him back up. Nicholai noticed one of his legs was still free, he swung and got Jonathan in the face making him fall backwards.

Jonathan got up and went to go for Nicholai but the third man grabbed him “leave this one for me, he's feisty and fights, I like that.” He said. “Okay Caleb.” Michael said once again slipping up saying the last person's name. “OMG Jonathan what is your issue! Can you not remember the code names so people don’t know our real ones?” Asked Caleb. “I just don’t see the point in code names when the police don’t do anything anyway.”

Michael and Caleb dragged Jonathan out to another room. “Alex please, if you are quick and untie my hands first I can help and I can get out of here.” “I’m sorry, with Caleb here I will get severely hurt if you go. They will turn their violence on me.” She said, “We can both run, let me go and we can both go and find somewhere to hide.” “He will find us, he has people everywhere who will keep an eye out for us. They all know me and probably know you with you being a new person.”

Nicholai looked down. “They are going to kill me aren’t they?” He asked. “They have never killed anyone, just hurt them then make sure they cant see then go dump them somewhere they don't know which will be easy with you as you don’t know the area.” Alex explained. He just kept looking down. Caleb walked in, “Alex, go out! You do not want to witness this.” She ran out of the room and Nicholai heard the door slam.

Jonathan walked up to Nicholai and whispered, “if you pretend to be more hurt than you are they will stop sooner.” Nicholai looked at Caleb as best he could through the blindfold. “I wish you no harm but my brothers are horrible people.” Jonathan walked away just in time for Caleb and Jonathan to come back. “Is she gone?” Michael asked. “Yes, she ran out when I said to go. Surprised you did not hear the door slam.” Jonathan replied.

The men surrounded Nicholai, he felt something hitting him on the shoulder, he turned his head towards the object and tried to catch it in his mouth to try to stop the hits. “Stop that!” Shouted Michael. “Well stop hitting me, I did nothing wrong!” Nicholai bravely shouted back. “Oh, he dares answer back.” Laughed Caleb. Jonathan just sat back quietly not attempting to help. “Jonathan, tighten the restraints will you, they seem loose.”

He jumped up at the chance, he actually loosened them a bit more to help Nicholai out. “Good now he can’t get away.” Caleb hysterically laughed. Nicholai realised and looked at Jonathan. He shook his head gently as if to say not yet. Nicholai just looked down at his feet. Caleb got something from another room. Michael said “no, not yet Caleb. That can be used later.”

Jonathan went out of the room. Caleb and Michael followed him. He took the opportunity to try and make a run for it but Caleb caught him as he was about to open the door. He got put back in his restraints in the chair. “There is no damage to these, how did you get out?” Asked Michael. “It was easy, just wriggled enough for them to loosen. You guys need to learn how to tie a proper knot.” Nicholai mocked.

Jonathan came back in and looked at Nicholai sadly. When Caleb and Michael went out of the room Jonathan walked over to Nicholai and said “this time wait untilI I say isn’t it time we let him go before you try anything.” “Okay but why?” Nicholai asked. “If you wait until then they will take me into another room and shut the door to explain why not yet, I do it as often as I can without making them suspicious." “Oh, okay I will wait for those words.”

The two men came back into the room, Jonathan was back on the couch opposite Nicholai so he didn’t cause suspicion for the other two. “Caleb go get the screwdriver.” Michael snapped. He ran out of the room. Jonathan, go out and get me this list of stuff!” He shouted. “I’m right behind you there’s no need to shout.” He replied. He grabbed the list, looked at Nicholai as if to say sorry and walked out of the door.

He noticed that Alex was still outside. “I thought you were long gone Alex.” “Oh no, I stayed. I am hoping they don’t do too much to him, he doesn’t deserve any of this.” She said to Jonathan. “Well, do you want to go and get this list and I will keep an eye on this?” Alex grabbed the list and money and made a run for it. “I will be as fast as I can.” She said as she ran off.

Jonathan watched through the window carefully as to not be seen. He could see Ncholai and Michael but not Caleb, what he seen shocked him. Without Caleb around Michael seemed to be helping Nicholai as if he also did not want to hurt him. Was Caleb the ring leader and only truly violent one? Michael heard Caleb coming out of the other room. He quickly stepped away from Nicholai. Once Caleb was back with them Michael changed back into the horrible version of him. He grabbed the screwdriver again and walked to Nicholai.

He got close to Nicholai and whispered something as quietly as he could so only Nicholai would hear. As Michael started to bring the screwdriver up Nicholai moved quickly to jerk the chair backwards. This broke the chair. He was free. Nicholai ran as fast as he could but Caleb was faster. He got him again. Nicholai felt defeated but did not want to give up so he could get home to his family.

Caleb threw Michael out of the kitchen and into another room. “What was that?” He asked in a raised voice. “Nothing, I just said I hope you feel every second of this pain then raised the screwdriver.” Michael replied. “Well why did he do that with his chair?” Caleb angrily said, he was getting more angry with every question. “Well, he does seem smarter than any others we have held here before.

They returned back into the room. Nicholai was just sitting at the table. “I see you have learnt that you will not get out until we say so.” Caleb sniggered. “Oh, yeah I have, I will just stay. Every time I get out you get angrier and that could mean worse stuff done to me.”

Caleb walked up to him and put the screwdriver against his leg. He started pressing harder and applying more pressure. He pierced Nicholai’s leg, he didn’t stop, just kept pressing it in more until Nicholai grabbed it and fought to pull it out.

The screwdriver was out of his leg, Caleb looked at him and said “Oh a strong one are we, guess we need to up the game with you then.” Michael looked at Nicholai with sad eyes. He shook his head. “What are you shaking your head at Michael?” Caleb asked. “Just shocked that he fought back and managed to pull it out against you pushing it in.” “Well the next thing he won't be able to stop.” Caleb said with a smirk on his face. Caleb walked out of the room again to go grab something else. “Why didn’t he ask you to go retrieve it?” Nicholai asked Michael. “Oh it means he’s going for something and doesn’t want any of us to know what it is.”

Michael and Nicholai just looked at the door waiting for Caleb to come back in, he was taking longer than they thought he would. They heard him slamming around. Michael went to him. “Caleb, what’s with all the noise?” “I cannot find what I want.” He shouted. “What is it you want?” He asked. “That thing I usually leave until last.” Caleb said so loudly Nicholai heard in the other room.

Outside Jonathan was watching carefully through the window. During the screwdriver torcher he snuck in and took the item Caleb was looking for. He just sat there listening in as Alex got back with all the stuff. “What are you doing?” She whispered. “Just hiding this from Caleb, I will swap you, could you take this far away please. Not into the forest as he could find it when he takes Nicholai there.

Alex swapped with Jonathan, told him what had happened in the other towns and ran off again. After checking the list and what was in the bag he went into the house. “Caleb, I have everything from your list that I could find. Sorry there are a few things missing.” Caleb sighed. “You can’t even get everything on a list. Did you go round all the other towns?” “All but Marokale as they know Nicholai there, I was walking in and one of the locals pulled me up asking if I knew of his location.” “I hope you did not say anything.” Caleb said sternly. “No, do not worry I did not say anything.”

The three men went back to Nicholai who was still just sitting at the kitchen table. He looked at them and said “give me your worst.” Caleb just looked at him, he really had given up on everything at this point. Caleb walked to NIcholai with a piece of rope. Still Nicholai did not move, just sat there. He put the rope around his neck, still not a single movement. Caleb took it off “this is boring, no point if he isn't going to react.” Michael gave out a deep breath of relief. “Oh you didn’t want me to hurt him. Have you gone soft on me?”

Michael turned to Jonathan, they looked at each other and nodded. “We both have had enough of you hurting people, we have actually never done anything apart from to lure them in. We have always left any of the torture to you.” Michael said. With this he grabbed Michael and tried to tie him up, Michael fought the holds and kept getting away. Nicholai ignored all this thinking it was some trick for his sake.

Caleb grabbed the screwdriver and drove it into Michael's left arm, He let him go and Michael tried to get the screwdriver from Caleb. The screwdriver ended up in Michael's right arm this time he left it there. Jonathan ran at Caleb, he knocked him over as he was still tired from the exchange with Michael. But things took a turn when Caleb struck Jonathan across the head with the door stopper. It was full metal and heavy. Jonathan just flopped down, he looked lifeless just laying there on the floor not moving.

Michael got up and went to run over to Jonathan, Caleb grabbed him, Nicholai got up and walked over to them as fast as he could with the injury to his leg. He grabbed Caleb by the scruff of his neck and threw him away from Michael. The two guys ran over to Jonathan, he was lifeless. His breathing was very shallow and slow.

He felt something hit his head, everything went black. He could hear Michael asking Caleb why he did this too Nicholai. He just heard laughing and no reply. Next thing there was a thud on the floor. Silence.Next thing his eyes opened, he couldn't see properly. His vision was blurry. “Jonathan, Michael. Are any of you there?” He said as loud as he could. His voice trembled. There was no reply. He tried to sit up but he went dizzy and fell back down.

He lay there for a while wondering what happened. How was he here? Where was he? He blinked repeatedly hoping it would focus his eyes. It worked! He could see clearer than before. He was in a forest. How? He sat up slowly, this time he stayed up. He waited a while then tried to move his legs properly, he managed to then he tried getting up to his feet. His legs were shaky but he was up. He looked around, there was nobody here.

He stumbled through the forest he had been left in, he looked around and he saw Jonathan. He looked like he was sleeping. He walked to him. “Jonathan, please be alive.” He rolled him over and he never opened his eyes or even took a breath. Is he dead? “Nicholai, Jonathan, are you guys here? It’s Michael.” Nicholai heard from a distance. He stayed quiet wondering if it was a trick, yes he had been nice to him earlier but that could have been an act to get him to trust him for this moment. “Jonathan, are you out there?” This time Nicholai thought he needed help and shouted “yes, we are here Michael, Jonathan is not responding to anything.”

Michael ran to the men, he dropped to the floor. “How long ago did you find him?” He asked. “Not that long ago, maybe five minutes.” Michael looked at him then felt under his nose. “He is breathing and I can feel a pulse.” He screamed excitedly. Nicholai rolled Jonathan into the recovery position and tilted his head. “What are you doing?” Asked Michael. “I'm doing first aid, I was panicking before but now he's breathing we need to keep him that way.”

Michael's eyes flickered as if they were going to open. The two men watched him carefully. Watched his whole body for any movements. His leg jolted, they thought he was waking up but he didn't, he just curled up. Nicholai just straightened him back into the recovery position. They heard Jonathan say something very quietly but didn’t hear it. “What did you say Jonathan?” Michael asked. He mumbled again, still they did not hear him. “Do you think you can sit up Michael?” Asked Nicholai. “Let me lie here.” Michael said loud enough for them to just hear him. Michael heard a noise, it sounded like twigs breaking. “Jonathan, you need to get up. We need to go. I think someone is coming.”

Jonthan tried to move. He cried in pain. Nicholai and Michael both held out a hand to help Jonathan up. He grabbed their hands, they pulled him up gently. He moaned as they pulled him up. They both put one of his arms around their necks and the other around his waist so they could support him as they moved. They walked for a while, Jonathan was getting heavy. He seemed to be struggling more and more to stand, he was dragging his feet instead of trying to walk. “Jonathan please try to walk, I know it hurts but we need you to try and walk.” He put his feet flat and walked for a little bit. “It hurts too much when pressure is on my feet, sorry.” With this he flopped down again.

“Look there’s a bench!” Shouted Nicholai. They walked over to it and sat Jonathan down. Michael looked around, a little bit away he seen a payphone. The two men looked at each other, smiled and ran to it. “I will phone somebody that should be able to help us.” Nicholai said excitedly. Michael went back to Jonathan on the bench. Nicholai rummaged for the currency he had so he could phone Dashiéll. He had so many questions for him. He put the change into the phone and dialled the number for the café. After three rings he heard Dashiéll on the other end.

“Hi this is the tiny tea-room up yonder, Dashiéll speaking. How can I help?” “It’s me Nicholai, I arrived at Old Lucia Town but there was nobody around in the streets, all the houses were in darkness apart from one. I knocked but the lady was too scared to talk and the man inside shouted and she vanished.” “Right, you need to get out of there as fast as you can. That town is a bad place to be, the people are rude and violent.”

“If you see anyone do not go in their building no matter what it is, you will never get out.” “Too late for that, I was in a house but one of them helped me get out. He is with me now.” “You would be better going to Tryxon Village or Antykla Town. They are a lot more friendly. But sorry I must go now we are getting busy.” With that Dashiéll hung up the phone.

Nicholai, still as confused as he was before he phoned for help, he turned from the phone and walked towards the other men. He remembered his car was not that far away. “Let’s get Jonathan and go to my car. It is a little further on.” Nicholai said. “Why didn’t you say this before?” Michael asked Nicholai. “I forgot, I just remembered.” He replied.

When they got to his car they lay Jonathan down on the backseat, they climbed in the front seats. He twisted the key but the car would not start. “Oh no, it won’t start.” He gasped. “What!” Shouted Michael. Nicholai got out and ran back to the payphone.

He put the coins in and dialed the number “Hi this is the tiny tea-room up yonder, Dashiéll speaking. How can I help?” “OMG Dashiéll it’s Nicholai again. We got to my car but it will not start, what do I do?” He asked frantically. “You need to go and find a mechanic.” Dashiéll told him calmly. “Where do I find a mechanic?” He asked. “Sorry Nicholai but I really need to go. It is very busy. Ask the men you are with.” After saying this he hung up.

Nicholai turned away from the phone with his head down. “Where do I find a mechanic?” He asked himself over and over. A person appeared in front of him. “Did I hear you right, that you were looking for a mechanic?” Nicholai snapped back into reality from his daze. “W-What did you say sorry?” “Do you need a mechanic?” “Oh, yes please.” replied Nicholai. “Lead the way,” said the gentleman. As they walked towards the car the guy introduced himself as Wilfred.

When they got to the car earlier it was no longer there, Michael and Jonathan were sitting on the floor. “Where is the car?” He asked them. They both pointed up. It was in the air. The car started swinging. Then moving quickly through the air. Suddenly it dropped and started itself up. “What is going on?” Asked Nicholai in a panicked voice. Wilfred turned to the men and said we need to get out of here for multiple reasons. The main one is to make sure your friend here is okay. Another is we have angered the entity.” The three men looked at each other and they grabbed Jonathan again.

“Out of curiosity, where is it we will be going?” asked Nicholai with Dashiéll’s warning circulating in his mind. “Are you from Old Lucia Town?” Wilfred jumped back and looked horrified, “No I am not from there, that place is not a place you want to be visiting, weird things happen there.” “I was warned by Dashiéll from Marokale to not enter any buildings within that town, but he was too late warning me, as you can see.” “So, where is it we will be going?” Jonathan enquired. “We will be going to my house in Antykla Town, it is a lovely place.”
